     Joanne E. Larimore, 66, of Edwards, passed away at 5:04 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at her home.
     Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with the Rev. Pamela Cochran officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012, also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Historic Springdale Cemetery.
     Joanne was born in Peoria on October 19, 1946, a daughter of Orville and Mary O. (Elkins) Gibbs. She was formerly married to Donald V. Burnett, who preceded her in death in 1970, and Robert Boken, who preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Norman, Steve and Larry Gibbs. She married Thomas D. “Tom” Larimore on September 4, 1998 in Hanna City. He survives.
     She is also survived by her sister, Lawanda (Jim) Pigg of Springfield, MO; brother, Donald Gibbs of Peoria; son, Ricky D. Burnett of Peoria; daughter, Nikki L. (Aric) Gartner of Pekin; stepson, Tom Larimore of Galesburg; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
     Joanne was a member of Peoria Laborers International Union 165 for thirty-four years, retiring in 1997. She was also a member of the Peoria Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 265.
     She enjoyed giving presents, mushroom hunting, shopping, playing bingo, visiting the Par-A-Dice Casino and Palm Beach, Florida and collecting clowns, coins, angels, fairies and elephants. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
     Joanne will be remembered as a very strong, caring and giving person. Her main focus in life was taking care of others, especially her family, but she could be outspoken and hot-headed, when she needed to be.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Joanne’s memory to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 265.

I am so sorry about Joanne's passing. But we have to remember that she and Bill no longer have pain from that terrible disease.   I'll always remember her coming into the office with her spunk and a smile on her face.  My heart and prayers are with you and your family.
